Transformer top systems history
Ooriginally developed for the AA breakdown service for roadside recovery
(Vauxhall Brava) this stylish top turns a four wheel drive, one-ton pickup
into a mobile toolbox, first response vehicle or any application where
four wheel drive and a designated amount of equipment is required.

The original vehicles for the AA were based on the double cab Vauxhall
Brava however new moulds have been developed for Super cab and double cab
Ford Ranger / Mazda and Mitsubishi L200
SVP produce the glass fibre (lightweight so as not to cut into the
vehicles payload) moulds in-house and then fit out the vehicle to customer
requirements, the latest vehicles converted have been 150 Ranger super
cabs for a power company whom traditionally have used the more expensive
Land Rover. In addition to lower purchase price, running costs and driver
comfort are contributory factors when choosing a Transformer topped
Ranger.
The tops are designed to be permanent, with lockable water resistant
doors; the system comes as standard with side accessing gull wing doors,
with a choice of rear door options, ladder racks and emergency lighting,
the internal fit out is tailored to the customer’s requirement.
