Fire Tender

The design brief here was to develop a vehicle in conjunction with Devon and Cornwall Fire Brigade for First Response 4x4 Fire Tender role.

The vehicle had to have four wheel drive, a reasonable turn of speed and narrow enough to tackle small lanes and entrances which are prolific around Devon and Cornwall

It also had to have the following features;

• Flashing Beacons

• Emergency sirens (foot operated as well s switch)

• Flashing headlights

• 400 litre water tank (with markings to show 200 litres if four men were carried)

• Petrol driven high capacity water pump on pull out bracket with flexible couplings

• External 240v coupling with engine cut out if applied and Antares charger

• Various working light s and emergency lights active when gull wing doors where in operation

• Watertight and secure

• Double ladder rack as well as internal ladder rack

• Loud hailer
